Ivy: Rolling Stone Feature
Ivy is featured in Rolling Stone today, with a deep dive into how the new album Traces of You came together. I got to be part of the process, helping shape the songs from old ideas the band had saved. Read the full story here.
Rolling Stone just ran a feature on Ivy and the upcoming album Traces of You. It goes into how Dominique, Andy, and I worked together to shape this new collection of songs, pulling from bits and pieces they had saved - some going back decades - and finding ways to finish them after Adam passed.
I’m really proud to be part of it and excited the album’s getting this kind of attention. The article gives a pretty honest look at how the record came together and what it meant to all of us.

Our new Freedom Fry album, Best Friend, is out today.
Marie and I wrote it inspired by things from the past - poems, ideas, and memories. It came together over time, mostly in L.A., and it feels like one of our most personal records yet.
We also just released the video for the title track, “Best Friend,” which we directed. You can watch it above.
Thanks to Earmilk, Flaunt & more for the kind words. And to Spotify for adding it to their official playlist, All New Pop.
Nothing Tech licensed track two, “Bad,” for their new Headphone (1) spot. Check it below:
Ivy’s Traces of You - Coming This September
Ivy returns this September with Traces of You, their first new album in over a decade. I had the honor of co-producing the record alongside Dominique Durand and Andy Chase, helping complete songs they began with the late Adam Schlesinger. The first single, Say You Will, is out now along with a video I directed.
I’m proud to share that Ivy will release a new album, Traces of You, this September via Bar/None Records.
The album features songs ideas Dominique Durand, Andy Chase, and the late Adam Schlesinger began together before Adam’s passing in 2020. Over the past two years, I’ve had the honor of joining Dominique and Andy to help finish what they started - co-producing and writing the record and helping bring these tracks across the finish line with great care.
The first single, “Say You Will,” is out now, and I had the privilege of directing the music video. It blends newly filmed footage with archival material and nods to Ivy’s dreamlike aesthetic.
The response so far has been really heartening, with features and coverage from Pitchfork, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, and The Needle Drop.
This record means a lot to all of us involved. It honors Ivy’s legacy while also moving their story forward in a new, unexpected way. I’m grateful to be a part of it.
